Overdrive for Audio

Am I the only one who has issues with this?

I use the Overdrive app to download audio books from my library. It seems like every time I go to listen, my book backs up some random amount and starts in the wrong place. Since I listen in the car, I'm left attempting to mess around with my phone and find my place while I'm driving . . . . kind of defeats the point of listening to audio books in the first place.

At first I thought this might have been caused by some sort of miscommunication when I played it through the speakers in my car, so I stopped doing that. I also thought it might be due to the fact that I had a few books I had downloaded from somewhere other than my library, but I am through those now. It doesn't seem to matter what I do. It never starts in the right spot.

Am I crazy? Has anyone had this problem, and, better yet, has anyone solved it?

I'm using an iPhone 5c if that makes any difference. Thanks!
