October Reading Roundup

Destiny of the Republic: A Tale of Madness, Medicine and the Murder of a President - Candice Millard Owen - Book One of the Tudor Trilogy - Tony Riches People of the Book - Geraldine Brooks Caleb's Crossing - Geraldine Brooks Marbeck and the Gunpowder Plot: a historical mystery (A Martin Marbeck Mystery) - John Pilkington Feud (Rebels & Brothers 1) - Derek Birks The Winter Crown - Elizabeth Chadwick A Casualty of Grace - Lisa Brown

Looking back, this was a better reading month than I thought. This is, once again, largely due to audio books. If this trend continues, I may have to reconsider the cost of Audible rather than depending upon the paltry offering of my local library.

I managed to reduce the NetGalley shelf by two books and only added one, so that's a minor victory.

Here's the breakdown:

Audio Books:

Destiny of the Republic

People of the Book

Caleb's Crossing

Winter Crown

Marbeck and the Gunpowder Plot

Indie Writers:

Owen: Book 1 of the Tudor Trilogy

A Casualty of Grace

Best Book of the Month:

Destiny of the Republic - I was pleasantly surprised at how riveting nonfiction could be and greatly enjoyed learning about what an amazing man James Garfield was.
