This is the worst book that I have stuck with until the end in a rather long time. I cannot quite explain what made me keep listening besides the train wreck phenomenon. For some reason, I convinced myself that something great was about to happen and I would miss it.

Even movie style sound effects couldn't save the writing in this book. One of my kids walked into the room while I was listening and said, "This sounds like something you listen to in third grade." Yes. Yes, it does.

I actually had to fast-forward through chapters featuring Chewbacca 'dialogue'. Ugh.

The Rebel Alliance, ahem, New Republic has won. Empire has lost but doesn't want to accept that. They're willing to concede that they are thugs but are alright with that. Blah, blah, blah..... I literally got nothing from this that I couldn't have done without.
