The Circular Staircase - Mary Roberts Rinehart

I decided to read this based on some reviews I read recently and was excited to find it on audio from LibriVox.

Alright, it's time for me to admit that I'm done with LibriVox. I've found a few good recordings for free, but too many of them are like this one. A different narrator with each chapter, each with an accent less appropriate to the story and more difficult to understand than the last.

I had the distinct impression that I would really enjoy this book if I could understand enough of the narrators' words to fully comprehend what is going on. So, I'm doing something that I've never done before: DNFing a book that I like so that I can read it in a more enjoyable format. Instead of letting irritating narrators ruin this story for me, I'm quitting now but hope to get back to this book again someday.
